The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Delcy Rodr铆guez, Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The Secretary-General congratulated Venezuela for its leadership in hosting the 17th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister discussed efforts undertaken toward the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. They also discussed the border controversy between Venezuela and Guyana. They exchanged views about recent developments in Venezuela and the Secretary-General reiterated his support for the dialogue efforts between the Government and the opposition.
