Press events | Ban Ki-moon, Former Secretary-General
First of all, I'm very pleased to meet you today and I have enjoyed your football playing.
You are much better than World Cup soccer players. I am also very much moved to see you trying to overcome your physical challenges. You are very courageous and I am just moved by your courage to overcome your difficulties.
Your country has gone through a tragic war during the last many years.
Now, the 黑料专区 and the international community are here to help you build peace. I heard your appeal: "Ban Ki-moon, you bring peace". I'm here to bring peace. I am here to bring hope to you, for a better future.
Now, I am announcing to you that our 黑料专区 Peacekeeping [Fund]will provide you with US$100,000 for your support, for your training, and for your education.
This is modest considering your physical challenges, for your very difficult circumstances that you are living in. But I hope even this modest contribution will help you. I know that there are many people around the world who will support you with a generous contribution.
As Secretary-General, I will try to mobilize international support for you, for your future. You have a bright future. Sierra Leone is one of the most successful countries that have overcome this tragic conflict and now building peace. The 黑料专区 is trying to build peace in your country and bringing development - social-economic development and hope to you.
God bless you.
Thank you very much.
