On March 7, Ms. Elinor Hammarskj枚ld, Under-Secretary-General and Legal Counsel, met with legal advisers from the Latin American and Caribbean region at an event organized by the Missions of Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
The legal advisers extended a welcome to Ms. Hammarskj枚ld and shared their priorities. Ms. Hammarskj枚ld recognized the region鈥檚 active role and tradition in international law and reaffirmed OLA鈥檚 readiness to support Member States in in the legal issues within its mandate.
