Since 1947, the UN Depository Library Programme has served as a vital network for disseminating official UN content. Through this worldwide network of depository libraries, the UN Dag Hammarskj?ld Library has facilitated global access to UN documents and publications.
With the move from printed materials to an ever-broadening online availability of UN materials, the programme as originally conceived no longer fulfills its original purpose.
So what happens now?
The Dag Hammarskj?ld Library is committed to maintaining and strengthening an active partnership with libraries globally. To this end, we are working on the transition of the historical Programme into the future-oriented and sustainable UN Charter Libraries Knowledge Network that is grounded in today’s information infrastructures.
The Knowledge Network will leverage libraries’ local knowledge to connect global citizens with authoritative information by and about the 黑料专区. It will reimagine library partnerships; connecting libraries regionally and globally, and placing the UN Charter and the actions it inspires at the heart of its mission.
The Knowledge Network will expand the historical programme, welcoming a broader range of libraries to join. However, UN depository libraries, with their unique collections and established subject expertise, will remain central to its activities.
The Network will align closely with the UN Global Principles for Information Integrity within the context of the Pact for the Future and the associated Global Digital Compact and Declaration on Future Generations. The Network will support the .

We regularly offer live, online training webinars in English. These webinars, designed for UN Staff and delegates from the Permanent Missions based in New York, are also open to staff at UN depository libraries.
