Objectives:
This meeting will further the goal of implementing an Integrated Oceans Management (IOM) strategy, bringing together Ecologically and/or Biologically Significant marine Areas (EBSAs) information, State of Marine Environment (SoME) reporting and Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) processes. This meeting is organized in conformity with decision 7 of the Abidjan Convention Twelfth Conference of Parties: 鈥渢he Abidjan Convention secretariat was asked to: 鈥渃ollaborate with relevant international institutions to develop a regional integrated coastal and ocean management policy in the Abidjan Convention area鈥�.
